Awww. I've always thought someone should write a story about the first chakats being created, or perhaps some of the other species now present in the Chakat Universe.

I've been trying to get Bernard to do that for years, but he's sticking with his current story line for now. If I was a better writer, I'd take up the challenge.

I've been tempted to try it, but I sort of lack the knowledge of how to go about creating a new species.

It's easy writing about new species. Just think of them as "People" and the rest will just happen. Now creating NEW genically designed species is a lot more complicated, and would require a lot more space to explain how it's done than I have here.

Aww. Just what are the Quange, where did they come from?

The Quange are a species of genetically "Modified" horse centaurs that were originally developed by a Doctor Sun Yun Quan in the late 21st Century. The species was one of the first to prove genetically stable and were able to reproduce on their own. The species name stems from the way the horse centaurs would pronounce the name of their "Originator." When they first appeared, they would refer to themselves as "Quan-horses" and it eventually got shortened to just "Quange."

I've allways loved your Quange characters, like "the mechanic" totally fun.
