Were do I even start? I've had this guy around for years and he has a very special place in my heart. He was the first, and still only existing, serious character I ever created. I'd like to say that he was "official" and down on paper in 2008, which was when I first became serious in drawing. He has gone through many changes since his creation but has always been a goofy water-loving blue dude!
Culerro is the only character that I've ever had a back story for and full blown personality. Culerro here was originally a wolf and water snake hybrid, which is where his name came from. (Lobo + Culebra) He was a science experiment in Mexico that had escaped. That's where the "tattoo" on his arm came from.
That's it for now. I'm in the process of making him a full blown new anthro reference. He deserves it. And just for fun here is the first ever digital reference I made for Culerro: http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/.....culerroref.png

I'm no expert in hybrids, but this works very well. Normaly, when artists draw a snake hybrid it doesn't look that ok. The color is really nice. I do like that soft blue with the white mane. It goes really well. I actually have a character that has those colors to prove how much I like that combo.
Thanks. I've always had a hard time getting a good mix. To me, he looks much to wolf, but he has many snake like details that are not as obvious: eyes, teeth, dislocating jaw scaley skin. But when I try to add a reptile face he just looks like a dragon... so he ended up very canine looking. Oh yes! I've seen that character. They do have similar colors, even the mane. Sorry if it seems that I took your idea, I swear I had this guy for much longer. :P (Excuse my blabbing!)
