quick pov study
tried to distort this, make it a little off, just enough to be disturbing while still looking almost comfortingly soft in color.
I think I managed to just make it look badly done. go me.

I like the quote you wrote in the picture, it rings a bell but I'm not sure to know where it comes from...
BTW, I like how this turned out, personally I feel it more comforting than disturbing, but that's only my opinion. I heard some guys talking about "how can you make something look disturbing", and many concluded that the use of "wrong" textures help a lot, like putting rough metal texture in a skin, rock texture in eyes, etc...

Ahah, it's actually from a song called "Seven Wonders" by Nickel Creek. bluegrass group, now split, still one of my favorites, though.
(but don't let that put you off the dark tower series. I'm rerereading it myself, and it always inspires me to draw. most Stephen King does.)
