Remember this project? Well, my staff prop is finally complete after extensive paint jobs. I still have to construct the ferret-dragon to go on top, but that's another thing all together. Here are some details!

It's a super easy build if you want to know. I gave a little bit of tutorial on it through my gallery, but I'll recap you. Find a stick you like (not just from outside, one that's already been "finished" or else you'll have to dry and seal it yourself) and accessory to go on top. I chose a paper mache ball from a craft store. Nail/glue the crap out of that sucker onto the stick. I did a whole lot of turning and flipping with this staff during construction and you want your ornament on there firmly. To try to fix it will screw it all up. After it's put on, I used hot glue in layers to decorate it with the swirly vines and make it blend with the stick. If you don't like that, then you need to find something else to bring the two together. You don't want just ball (or other object) on stick because it looks stupid. Then proceed with your paint job of choice, wrap some leather (don't forget to either nail or glue it down) and tada! Stick.
