Duel World Idea created originaly by me
Yugioh NOT owned by me
A Duel Monsters (aka Yugioh) themed island theme park made to handle thousands of guests and tourists from single day visits to several night stays. It provides food, multiple forms of entertainment from shows, to rides, to (of course) dueling and absolutely EVERYTHING is Duel Monsters themed all the way down to most sections of the parks being based on Field Spells, employees walk around dressed as duel monsters, and there are cards, duel disks, and overpriced Duel Monsters based souvenirs and novelties for sale.
Being on a large island the theme park has several luxuries that others lack… the ability to incorporate its space to create multiple “Fields” is one of them ranging from lush forests, to mountains, to even a graveyard area. Each area has its own attractions and features. But most of them can be divided into several “Main” fields.
Starter Deck City
The Main “Hub” of Duel World, this is the locations for many, if not all, of the hotels on the island as well as the general “Theme Park” area. Based on many of the “Man Made” fields this is the normal area for people who are only there for the day to stay at as such is made to handle the highest rate of traffic. It also serves as the central hub for the monorail system made to move people from area to area. Notable locations here include…
Skyscraper: Made in a fake recreation of the E-Hero field spell this features many of the various hotels (which range from cheap to luxury) and many of the more adult entertainments of this part of the park such as theater and fine dining. This is also where several of the more public duel challenges are issued.
Toon World: The “kiddie” section of the park featuring “Shine Palace” a 24 hour daycare made to handle children ages 5 and under with professionally trained staff. Another attraction is a huge merry-go-round popular with both kids and adults. Other features include “How to Duel” lessons for children and many of the simpler, more straightforward theme park style entertainments and rides.
Madolche Chateau: This sweets themed section of the park serves as both the best place to sate your sweet tooth but is also the best “Gift Shop” area with novelties of all kinds from custom duel disks to toys and knick-knacks based off of duel monsters. Card shops here usual have surprise deals going at random times to keep the customers on their toes.
Clocktower Prison: This huge monument towers over the rest of Starter Deck City and houses a museum to Duel Monsters history featuring videos and info of some of the passed legends of the game as well as prototype duel disks and the original Pegasus hologram arena. Rumor has it this building also houses a hidden room full of challenges… but this can neither be confirmed or denied.
Forest
Nearby Starter Deck City this is a huge lush forest carefully grown and maintained. It features several simple walkways branching through it as well as small picnic areas to allow visitors to bask in the serenity of nature… but of course there’s far, far more to it. Hidden (even if just barely) among the trees are several fields that can provide entertainments for those looking for some action with their nature appreciation.
Sogen: The field outside the forest proper and one of the few designated “Challenge Zones” where you can consistently find park cosplay duelists (all playing as warrior type monsters) accepting or giving out challenges. One on one duels in the flowing grass are the sights of the day making this the perfect place for duel happy challengers. But beware, while most of these duelists are intermediate level difficulty on occasion hard pro-level duelists appear. Freed the Matchless general for instance is so far undefeated.
Secret Village of the Spellcasters: One of the truly “Hidden” things in the forest this hidden village welcomes anyone who can find it with a few simple gifts… and the chance to win more by besting the spellcaster cosplaying villagers at Duel Puzzles... or you can simply enjoy the rustic atmosphere and cheap food. It’s your call.
Shien’s Castle of Mist: Deeper in the forest and closer to the Mountain field this Japanese castle stands fairly obvious for all to see. Once visitors pass through the Gateway of the Six they enter a village and area modeled after feudal-era Japan where various related goods and gifts can be bought. The real attraction is the castle though where one can learn about the culture that spawned the game… and if they’re lucky (or unlucky) face off against one of the samurai who guard it or even the shogun himself. Beware of Ninja’s though…
Gaia Power: A huge fake tree in the middle of the forest this also houses the monorail system station for the forest area and most of the actual shops. Various attractions here include animatronic mock ups of Beat and Beast-Warrior type monsters including Green Baboon Guardian of the Forest.
Naturia Forest: The kid area of this part of the park it features cute animatronic versions of Naturia monsters as well as rides based off the Naturia scynchro monsters. It is the easiest “Attraction” in the forest to find, followed by Shin’s castle, since Gaia Power is more a “hub” for this area.
Mountain
The medium sized (small if you want to be technical) mountain range in the middle of the island serving as a lookout post as well as the sight of some of the island best rollercoasters and more extreme styled attractions. Roped off walkways and the monorail system make traversing the mountain side a lot easier and safer but there is still security posted here should anything go wrong.
Harpies Hunting Ground: A sight at the base of the mountain serving as a tribute to one of the most commonly lusted after monster in the game this attraction is popular with guys who get to take photos with beautiful ladies cosplaying the harpie ladies and their various associates. The aerial dance show (performed with stunt wires and special effects) with the closer being an animatronic Harpies Pet Dragon is also popular.
Dragon Ravine: Taking up a good chunk of mountain this attraction features not only Dragunity monsters but ALL dragon types and honors them with a wide variety of high speed rollercoasters and the like often with the cars in the shape of dragons themselves. Rumor has it that Lord of D. and Kaibaman also lurk around this part of the park but nobody is sure.
Divine Wind of Mist Valley: One of the canyons modified to represent the village and people of Mist Valley and acting as the monorail hub for this part of the park. Besides featuring various tribal like shows, music, and dances this attraction also has a controlled hang-gliding ride for those who’ve always wanted to soar like a bird type.
Ojama Country: The kid area of the mountains the bright, colorful, and often so ugly they’re cute cosplayers of this part of the park create a lively and festive environment for any visitors willing to put up with their immature sense of humor. Past that this also features one of the “Challenge Tournaments” of the sights where all competitors aren’t allowed to have any monster with over a 1000 base attack in their deck. Winning this tournament shows your skill and nets you a nice prize.
Umi
To represent the sea and all its wonder in the duel monsters world this is the seaside area of the park including pristine sandy beaches, clean waters, and various ocean based attractions. It also serves as one of the secondary hotel and high traffic spots of the park after Starter Deck City. It’s a lot more like a resort then a theme park but still has plenty of attractions that can be enjoyed by all.
Umiiruka: An arctic themed waterpark featuring waterslides as well as exhibits of vvarious seal life such as polar bears and penguins. It houses various shows including “The Nordic Lightshow” which is a beautiful display of music and color. Rumor has it that a particularly powerful duelist makes his home somewhere among the ice themed park.
A Legendary Ocean: An actual underwater portion of the park this pressurized glass dome houses several hotels and other features, all themed around the lost city of Atlantis. Often people come here just to be able to look out through the thick dome and see the ocean and all its wonder and life stretching out before them.
Forgotten Capital Lemuria: The monorail hub for this section of the park and main, on land anyway, commerce section for it. This Greek (or is it Roman) based area features gift shops, duel tournaments, and some of the best theater on the island as well as cheaper hotels (and better beach view) than A Legendary Ocean. Rumor has it some of the ancient gods of the civilization the place is based on still lurk waiting for duelists to challenge them.
Hero City
A shortened name for “Skyscraper 2 – Hero City” this is Duel Worlds “Futureland” featuring all the wonders of a world of tomorrow… today. Past that it also acts as the area for some of the odder, more mechanical, and outright unusual areas of the park providing entertainment for anyone looking for something different. The city also serves as the hotbed for new duel disk and dueling technologies. The city itself is the monorail hub and merchant area with attractions branching off from it.
Geartown: A steam-punk paradise this city of steam power and whirring gears is more for spectacle than anything else but still houses a few interesting sights… such as the animatronic replicas of Ancient Gear monsters A mysterious figure known as “The Mechanic” is said to rule here.
Wattcastle: The kid friendly area here this brightly colored castle is one huge arcade featuring games from all eras including the coin-operated generation all the way up to full 3D immersion games. It is chaperoned by “Wattkid” one of the parks few AI’s capable of dueling.
Karakuri Showdown Castle: One big, huge, automated funhouse this castle has thousands of tricks and a complicated AI system insuring no visitor ever gets the same experience twice. Inside the clockwork Karakuri atatomitons provide often comedic assistance to anyone who needs it… or even a duel if you’re lucky enough to stumble across one in challenge mode.
Wasteland
One of the few fields that isn’t “Fun for all ages” these shifting sands are a challenge to all duelists who wish to brave them. While this is one of the smaller areas it still hides vast amount of challenges mainly in the forms of coliseums. Duelists wishing to prove themselves can come here looking for a challenge… but they should be equally worried that they just might find it. Naturally the monorail terminal is located on the EDGE of this arena.
Savage Collosseum: One of the easier wasteland attraction to find this collosseum is also fairly simple. It holds brutal, no holds barred tournaments which can be anything from standard one on one bracket tournaments to marathon matches to see how long one duelist can last facing against progressively stronger opponents when he has a non-refilling lifepoints. Brutality and bloodsport are the specialty of this arena.
Collosseum – Cage of the Gladiator Beasts: Another collosseum but unlike Savage Collosseum this one specializes in the more unusual duels such as two on two, tag duels, triangle duels, four on four duels, and any other. Rumor has it that the “Caesar” of this arena is simply waiting for some duelist(s) to impress him enough before he steps into the arena to face them himself… but this supposedly has yet to happen.
Necrovalley: The village of the Gravekeepers hidden in a canyon along the steep cliff faces on one side of the wasteland. The people here are friendly and welcoming and will entertain guests with challenges and duel puzzles… or they can risk life and limb in the trap filled catacombs and tombs lining the valley’s walls to try and obtain fabulous prizes… but be careful. Not all the dead that have been laid to rest here sleep peacefully.
Yami
Under perpetual storm clouds (an affect the park SWEARS they aren’t doing intentionally) this is the place for the brave of heart… or those looking for a good scare. Themed after dark monsters the architecture here is made to give off the evil or creepy vibe to whoever visits… but it’s mostly just for show. The place is just as geared towards the visitors enjoyment as the rest of the park… even if they plan on scaring you silly while they entertain you.
Magical City of Endymion: The hub of Yami and monorail terminal for this part of the park this unusual city is the place for any spellcaster enthusiast to go, being populated entirely with spellcaster cosplayers. You can find spellcaster themed merchandice here, check the Spellbook Institute - La Maison and Magical Library since together they contain info on almost any card or tactic in the game, or attend one of the many magic shows held here. Of course the ruler of the city, Endymion himself, is rumored to be somewhere… but who would be fool enough to challenge him in his own kingdom?
Pandemonium: The ruins that house the powers of the Archfiends and act as another of the islands colloseums. Here the tournaments are simple one on one affairs… but house rules are in effect and the roll of the dice is king. Every round has some kind of game of chance built into it ranging from rolling the die to get to draw extra cards during your draw phase to gaining a chance to save a monster from being destroyed. Be warned, this option is open to both players and fiends have been known to use loaded dice.
Dark City: Hidden somewhere in the back alleys of the Magical City is this unusual area. Made of separate rooms painted to look like cityscapes it forms a maze of squares for anyone unwary enough to get lost here. In these rooms you can find casinos, card traders with special deals, and even duelists you can’t find anywhere else. Be wary though, the Dark City is only welcoming to those who came to gamble, spend, or duel… everyone else beware.
Zombie World: The ultimate haunted house attraction. An entire mini- world of zombies and the undead featuring cosplay duelists, automatons, and other features to complete the illusion. Depending upon the time you visit how actively frightening this place is can vary from “Halloween Town” levels (Scary but not actively malicious) all the way to “Dawn of the Dead” levels (which should speak for itself).
Luminous Spark
The Light attribute based section of the park based on white marble architecture and giving the place a heavenly feel all the way up to holographic clouds around your feet. The place is spotless, the people are friendly, and the entire area reeks of good natured cheerfulness… naturally there’s a good chunk of people who can’t stand it. Luckily the various attractions make up for any overly polite obnoxiousness people may feel this place gives off.
The Sanctuary in the Sky: The monorail terminal for this part of the park this is the iconic temple in the heavens all fairy duelists know and love. The ancient styled architecture is populated by people cosplaying various fairy types and is also the main merchant area for this part of the park. Some of the best live performances happen on the various stages located here but it is rather small compared to most of the other monorail terminals.
Realm of Light: The main attraction of Luminous Spark. A huge sprawling white city by the water like something out of Rome’s golden age this is the place you go for action here. Among the vendors and other entertainments this is another place like Sogen where you can find cosplay duelists ready and waiting to duel for anyone willing to take their challenge. That and the animatronic Judgment Dragon is a slight to behold when it awakens.
Neosapce: Actually a huge planetarium this area lets you see the stars and learn about them as well as provides a marvelous Neospacian theme light show. Rumor has it that at certain times you can even duel against Elemental Hero Neos as well.
Beyond these Fields there are various others spaced out all over the park to provide variety and surprise to visitors who find them. Beyond that there are also “Hidden” fields that house Duel World’s most famous secret… but that is something that will be covered in another article. A few other notable attractions and features at Duel World include…
The Big March of Animals: A huge zoo outside of the “Forest” field this is the parks tribute to the beast, and beast warrior type monsters as it features exotic animals from all over as well as an extensive petting zoo.
Jurassic World: An animatronic attraction to let visitors get the feel of how it was like when dinosaurs ruled the earth. Jurassic Park comparisons are expected and to be honest encouraged.
Anyway I thought I'd at least post down some ideas =3 the island is divided up into several different field with smaller fields inside and each one has it's own different look and attractions... so I thought I'd try and jot down the info for them! =D

I'm already writing my own story set in the Umi section! Though, I probably should have waited until the theme park was finally "open" to do that. When it's done, i hope that you'll be one of the first to read it, see what needs to be corrected to match your vision.
One small correction may be in order though: I think that the Umiiruki doesn't have any ice, but rather it has huge waves… It's a great exhibit either way.
One small correction may be in order though: I think that the Umiiruki doesn't have any ice, but rather it has huge waves… It's a great exhibit either way.
I'd probably go straight to find the secret village of the spellcasters just so I could hug a dark magician girl then try to get a group picture of dark magician girl, dark magician, dark paladin, dark sage, dark magician of chaos, and dark paladin girl. *giggles I'm a dark magician nut :x* =^w^= mew?
you're gonna love this, i think....
(it's based on the Die Hard Arcade+Dynamite Cop+Time Crisis II+Crisis Zone arcade games by SEGA & NAMCO)
-one day, it's beautiful at this place where one can truly call paradise-
~but all of a sudden, explosions and gunshots rip the air and that's when the running and screaming start~
"we have a situation down there, some modern-day pirates have taken over the duel world theme park, the're holding the park staff and over 2000 civilian hostages inside including the president's 2 daughters, we have to invade the island! wipe out the terrorists! and rescue all the hostages especially the president's daughters"
-MEANWHILE-
"I don't care how many URDA & VSSE are coming! I just want them taken out before they can cause real trouble for us! get going to intercept them at the bridge leading to the island! why isn't that safe opened yet! Hurry it up with those bombs! and where are the president's daughters! find them and bring them to me!"
-MEANWHILE-(AGAIN!)
"It's Me...Christy, I found out what those terrorists on the island are REALLY up to, haven't the agents left yet? -RICHARD AND Mc. GARREN ARE ON THERE WAY, NO ONE CAN BEAT THEM- Mc. Garren and Richard!-"
"well well well, it appears we have a guest, looks like we caught you just in time, a leak like this would of been problematic, to say the LEAST"
"ugh...a punch like that and you think you and your boss can get away with global destruction"
"Silence! You have no idea who perfect my employer's plan is, now take her away-~BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!~-WHAT THE!-"
-where do we go from here, it's up to you to decide what happens next-
(it's based on the Die Hard Arcade+Dynamite Cop+Time Crisis II+Crisis Zone arcade games by SEGA & NAMCO)

OK, OK, OK...i know it's not your thing, but to me it is an interesting idea for a video-game story "come out to the coast, have a few laughs, but no i just HAD to be in a tower in downtown LA when terrorists attack it and now i'm stuck in a dang ventilation shaft TRYING to get the cops here while trying to stay alive, yippee kay-yay..."
