Peering through the driver's window of engine No. 1638. As you can imagine, 1638 is an 0-6-0PT built by British Railways (Western Region) in 1951. Even if this engine was built three years after BR took over the GWR (Great Western Railway) it currently bears the old GWR livery in order to play 'Duck' at the KESR's 'Day Out with Thomas' events. The engine in front of 1638 is 'Charwelton', an 0-6-0ST built by Manning Wardle in 1917.
