Astoreen, Devon and Raleigh's adoptive 7 year old daughter. recently learned how vicious Devon can be. I wanted to play around with how he might approach explaining his motives and reasons behind working as a contract killer.
ALSO, since only the writers/players know so far and I have it incorporated in a panel, the mafia that Devon has joined uses a coin as a signal of membership.

I was actually going to do it by hand - since I always do; it seems like 90% of the time it looks way better - and this was originally placeholder text, but I thought the cleaner font just ended up complimenting the drawings well, making it seem crisper as a whole, while hand lettering made it all feel a bit mushy and same-y.
I like where you went with the standard font, but only after I saw that it was Devon explaining it to Astroreen, which it could almost work as a dark fairy tale book. But something different could've worked better, I think the children's books I've read were serif, but I don't know which would be appropriate.
That's why I was unsure about my suggestion, I used to have "Ladybird" books, where they'd use serif font, but they'd really whitewash the stories to make them more suitable for children. It was mildly horrifying that when I got a Grimm fairy tales book, I found most of my favourite characters died or suffered cruel and unusual fates or insurmountable tasks.
People back then must've been pretty bad ass, to listen to that as a bedtime story. (They were used as cautionary tales. I know.)
