This piece is a commission for  bundadingy.

A beautiful day in Veitnam. Bright blue sky, but a shower of napalm ravaging the forest below, killing everything in it's path.
A lone marine, hardened by the death of hundreds, wades through muck. Not phased, or even completely aware of Molten fire on the opposite bank. Eyes that have seen too much grow dead inside. Survival is the only option. Even when the mind is gone, the body must keep moving, keep fighting...


I was aiming for a more ironic scene.
Many times I've found myself alone and feeling dead inside and looked out the window and have seen a beautiful, cloudless day. Like nature is mocking the very exsistance of the terror below. I was hoping to get that same feeling in this piece.

I learned alot in the making of this. I really need to practice JUST backgrounds because im really not very confident with them. this background is actually the third background I've given this. If you'd like to see the second you can find it in my scraps as a wip.
THis was supposed to be a 10 hour piece but i'm sure I spend over 20 with trying to fix the background and various other things. Bundadingy deserves it though for being so incredibly patient with me. :)

Tips and critics would be lovely. Just be gentle. I'm terrible with guns/clothing/planes/ and pretty much everything in this piece was it's own challenge for me.
