Well his official title is a "Time bearer" which is sorta obvious really. He has some sort of control over time. Hence the clock gear marks on his body. He is also ageless (which in his story just means no one really knows how long he's been around). The 2 clocks both represent something for him. The small one on his horns is more like a trinket, having more personal value while the main one hanging from his scarf contains his life-force. the clock itself is incredibly hard to break but that doesn't mean he can't die (its just hard to do) He still takes damage and bleeds like everyone else. The scarf itself is there to serve as a cover for scarring around his neck.
