As annoying as it may be you really must remember to do a bit of level grinding before you take on the giant dragon at the end of the dungeon. Then again, is a high level knight really anything more than a slightly stronger snack at the end of the day?

I don't know, everything seems fine to me!
The dungeon is working fine: leaving enough of a legend and trail to ensure not only a steady stream of food trickling into the dragon's lair, but they adventurer's bring their own gold and enchanted items as well...
So: one happy dragon. You could say the adventure is unfair to the human adventurers; but who cares about them?
