Thanks! I feel that magic dealing with the manipulation of flesh walks a fine line between "helpful and awesome" and "easily abused for evil purposes" so when I was creating this world I didn't want people running around with that power all over the place.
That does seem to be true. It may be because I'm not writing porn that more people aren't interested. But that just makes the comments and favorites I do get even more special. ^_^

It's a good way to deal with it, since the healing power is actually possible to play with / work in reverse in your setting. In a lot of mine, healing spells consist almost entirely of pumping energy into the wounded person and triggering his natural healing processes to work much faster than usual. (I copied a downside to this from an anime I liked; the power doesn't mend wounds so much as it encourages life, and as such it makes infected wounds worse than they were before.)
That's an interesting twist on healing as well. The way I look at it is that magick used to tamper with flesh has the potential to be very, very bad. Not only is there the potential for necromancy and "Frankensteining", there's also the possibility one could use it to control living people as well.
The healing aspect works in a similar manner in this universe I've created: the healer uses their magick to energize and stimulate the tissue to heal faster that would naturally happen. They can also help boost the immune system of the patient to treat infections and illnesses, but it takes a lot more out of them than healing a simple cut or broken bone.
