This probably needs some explanation. :D
Folly just wasn't feeling like "me" anymore. I have changed so much from when I first made, her, and she has gone through many changes, but she wasn't really working. I didn't alter her species to be trendy or cool. I didn't think " Oh, well everyone has a wolf fursona so I don't want one anymore." :) I have always loved wolf characters, and it's not that I don't like them anymore, it's just that I don't feel as connected to them as I did before.
Folly was becoming a chore to draw, which no character should EVER become, and every time I drew her, I wasn't happy with how it looked. She was just... boring for lack of a better term, and it was like drawing a character that I felt I had an obligation to draw.
I have been trying to change her for a while now, but it was just revolving around her change of colors, or marking, or changing her into different canines, but that was the problem. I felt no connection to them, and I kept getting drawn in by other peoples characters, namely those of a " creature"disposition. Maybe it started when I started watching monster movies? :p
Anyway, that's where this lovely creature stepped in. Her markings are based on a gemsbok, common hartebeast, and okapi, and she's a mantiss. Because I like one word names and I thought it sounded cool. It has nothing to do with praying mantises! :yay: I also gave her a change between summer and winter, because sometimes I feel fluffy, and others, not so much. Enjoy! :D
