Despite my enthusiasm for the few Copics I now own, sadly it looks like it'll be a while before I'm as good as Terryl Whitlatch.

This is excellent! The details, the facial features, the build, the outfit ... I love that long neck and those skinny arms.
If I had a suggestion, it would be put some talons on the feet. You draw terrific human feet, which are notoriously hard to draw, but sometimes, they seem out of place.

Oh lord yes! You have hit me in my most vulnerable spot XD
I love this design; very practical kit with an unstereotypical look. The leather chaperon is a great touch - serpent folk are commonly sinister hooded figures, but this delightfully emphasizes, instead of concealing, the long neck and snake head. I love that this is clearly a warrior rather than a shadowy sorcerer/poisoner with a nasty dagger :)
Personally, I prefer Howardian/Lovecraftian serpent people, which is why I like the ones in Pathfinder and Freeport. I really long to run Pathfinder's "Serpent's Skull" adventure path, but with serpentfolk heroes instead of the recommended mammals

I'd sort of figured that this was one of the low level schleps - not an infiltrator, not a sorcerer or a big boss monster, but one of the really basic guys that show up in groups of 1-8 to fight the adventurers, that sort of thing. The hood just struck me as kind of a neat idea, as an armored echo of a cobra hood - but thanks for pointing out the hooded stereotype, as that sounds like a chunk of connecting design which I can play with!
What little I've seen of "The Serpent's Skull" doesn't seem like it'd be amenable to serpentfolk PCs.

Ohhhh, just wait till I work my magic on it :) Instead of a party of adventurers chasing rumours of a lost city to kill all the monsters, I see a party of serpent folk chasing the same rumours to rediscover the glories of their ancient culture, while simultaneously having to remain disguised while in the surface world.
I tend to do topsy-turvy in all my games. Frex, the low-level schleps are often more interesting to me than the boss monsters. Playing a bunch of them trying to repel an incursion of murderous adventurers would be fun.
Also, I urge you to draw more serpent folk :3
