"Tiny" steam engines always have fascinated me. I fond it amazing that a 3" gauge Shay could pull along a 125 pound Engineer, the cart he's riding on, and sometimes a passenger, and have power to spare. On the other paw, the little locomotive could only pull at "Scale Speed," which meant it crawled along just a bit faster than a brisk walking pace. It's a lot of fun as long as one isn't in too much of a hurry.
