Hey! Where did my wall go?
So, I'm driving back from my dental appointment, when I get a call on my cell phone. The contractor wanted to know where I was, since they were coming in to do some work.
Um...okay, be there in five minutes.
They come in, and start tearing down my walls. Apparently the contractor said it was necessary, because the water damage had soaked into the exterior drywall. They also took out a portion of the exterior wall in my daughter's room, too.
So, I gots more stuff taken out.

Be glad they caught this water issue and removed it. About 10 years back our family cabin at Lake Tahoe had developed a leaky roof during the winter.
Upon opening up the place in late May we found ice flowing down the stairs, on the floor, and behind the wall panels. In the end we found it had also damaged the original wiring of the house (we also found out this same wiring was not just bad, but not up to code even for it's era!).
We did replace all the wiring (about $5000) all the insulation and drywall (sweat-equity replacement) and are better off for it.
Hopefully they caught this all in time to avoid mold and structural damage.
