I've been doing more fluff images for Lumpkinville. This largely involves putting on some very old Hank Williams and drawing what comes to mind. I actually drew the foreground to this while hanging out at Bonk's house. I'm so used to drawing people in tight clothing, that it's sometimes a challenge to accurately depict Mary Ann's loose overalls. They hide her form and make her legs look a little shorter than they really are.
The idea for this image came from an inspiration to parody The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. At first I thought about blending it with another parody of another great river adventure, Apocalypse Now, but complications abound. Huckleberry Finn has such a great moral premise and Apocalypse Now is such a nihilistic meaningless piece of crap, I decided not to blend them even in parody. Anyway, when I tackle this, it will be huge and on-going.
This particular image is probably the most detailed image that will get the least amount of favorites, because they're not copulating with anything, they're both humans, and neither one of them has a taur body or a pair of wings.

I've never been into nihilistic pieces of crap. In the case of Apocalypse Now, it was simply that the movie was uninteresting, save for the Ride of the Valkryies.
Now I have to add Huck Finn to my reading list, after Beowulf (Gotta read a book before seeing the movie.) I do love Mark Twain. Have you read his three "Mysterious Stranger" fragments?

I saw the movie years ago (assuming there was only one; if not, the one with Christopher Lambert in it), and then I attempted to read the original text (translated from the original Old English). I got about halfway through, then got bored. The movie has nothing in common with the original story, aside from the main character's name and the monster's name. The movie was good, if a bit overdone, though. I bought the DVD when I saw it.
I actually like this. To me, it shows you are well rounded. Sometimes getting your mind out of the gutter and putting your characters into a non-sexual situation helps.
Look at Better Days. My first view of your art was before the comic. Fisk was almost always in some sort of sexual situation. Then the comic came along and you didnt have him in a sexual situation all the time. You have your pay stuff that does go back to the sexual stuff but overalll I think you can be well rounded. Thats the point I am trying to make anyway.

Your comment on Apocalypse Now was bang on the money. And I gotta say Im really getting into the universe youve set up with these characters. Although my current fave picture on this whole site is of the one with the gal her Horse. What I wanna know is, what will she be doing with that puntin stick?
I hate to admit it, but when I first saw your linework of this on your livejournal, I thought the other girl was a boy. Seems rather stupid in retrospect considering she's looking at "Hung" magazine. At any rate, this really is a fine piece. I adore the coloring, especially in the background. I can see what you're saying about Mary Ann's bagging clothes. That's a problem I've had many times before myself. I think you handled them well though.
Believe it or not, there are people here who enjoy actual art too, not just furry creatures humping like there's no tomorrow.
It's been years since I've seen it, but if I recall Apocalypse Now was one of those films that was meaningful by being meaningless. I think it definitely had something to say, but you have to take a lot of time and analyzing to correctly establish what it was. Even then it's open to interpretation of course. I remembering watching it back in high school and getting something out of it, even if most of the class was wrapped up in "OH MY GOSH, they slaughtered that cow!!" or Robert Duvall's surfing.

Well, Heart of Darkness is actually a pretty good story.
The rather modern porn magazine with the rather rustic river ride does have an interesting dichotomy. Though, in retrospect, master Finn would probably swipe smut if such was available, purely on the principle that he shouldn't have it.
