http://greywolf.critter.net/index.html has some wonderful homebrewed rules and concepts... one of which was for the Deadlands: Hell on Earth setting.
In a post apokalyptic world where nukes enhanced with evil magic were dropped, bizarre mutations you actually live through happen with great frequency. The HoE books include many random mutations but adding still more flavor came the homebrewed "Born a Mutant" table.

One caught my eye and me and my game master joked about the advantages and problems of a person with 'Faerie' as a mutation. Then I joked "Unless he was a syker or a Doomsayer. Can you imagine Tinkerbell with atomic powers?" and he said "You're the artist... draw it and I'll give you extra chips next time we play."

So... properly bribed I drew everyone's favorite psycho-sprite with the robes and powers of the Wasted West's resident 'good' radiation priests, the Doomsayers.
