Thanks! I just thought, what if there was some kick behinde the shot? It would require some extra support to prevent his arm from being hurt.

Oh. Well, it must be a decintegration effect, because if it was a burning spell, there'd be a streak of red in the middle.

er...no...just a bolt of magic. The damage done is much like the damage done from the lazers in star wars except much more powerfull.
