Her need for acceptance from her mother was there…but now its filled with a want to become much greater than her sister and her mother. She has a cocky, arrogant mentality, although she knows full and well what she can win and what she cant win. Sometimes her pride can easily be used to cloud her judgment…but you would have to get into her head…something that isn’t easily done...
Likes : Fighting, getting stronger, making others bend to her will, ensuring her prediction comes true, ensuring she is the strongest and gets only stronger, making her younger sister look stupid and weak, and finally she likes to ensure no rivals can beat her.

As they rejoiced in the streets, showing nothing but pride… a mothers love slowly turned into a mothers scorn. At the time…Selene loved power. She loved anything that made her stronger, and anything to ensure she had something to be more than proud of. But seeing a black haired, lavender eyed child only brought beauty. Rinata‘s ki was barely over 6. As she grew older, Selene‘s hopes just kept raising, but were being cut down so brutally quick. She wanted an heir with power for ages, not a slow bloomer…or a weakling in all.
She made her decision, when her second child… Aurisa was born. Auri had a birth level of 78,000.… something that was more exponential than what the now 2 year old girl had. Selene waited for Hokutomaru to go off on an ambassadorial trip, and then left the child in a bundle…putting the mark of a royal furai bastard child on Rinata‘s head, leaving her on the steps of a Ryuujin couple, as she left. She then faked the childs death by taking an orphan similar looking to hers, and paid suicidal Ryuujin to fire upon the carriage, easily killing the 3 year old, but allowing Selene lee way to end their lives, and cover up her tracks.
Rinata…was taken care of by Tyris and Ruzu, two very kind blacksmiths in a far distant Ryuujin village. They always made her wear a headband…since they knew Ryuujin knew what furai marks meant, as did furai knew what some ryuujin marks meant. They didn’t want her life to become any worse…they felt Selene was being irresponsible. They discarded her birth name and called her Serena… thinking she would be serene…and kind as she grew up. And at first, she was very kind, and a very helpful person, but her latent talents at this time started to manifest themselves in more than unusual ways.
It was 5 years after the fateful week that Jocasta was left on earth…and Hokutomaru and Selene died. The girl now 7 was a well respected member of the village, and loved by many. But one child thought it would be fun to bully her…it was this day that slowly started her path to no return. The child saw Serena leave a market carrying a bucket with several types of fruits for her parents. The child walked up to her and pushed her over, forcing the fruits to drop out of her hands, hit the ground and roll into the mud. Serena tried fighting back, but the kid was so much stronger, and knocked her out, leaving her there. The child felt they needed to take something in honor of their victory…and removed her headband…revealing the blue gem, and the markings on her forehead. He shuddered, and dropped it, running.
Serena awoke to having several members of the clan staring at her with a dark glare, and saw her adoptive parents, tied up. Her adoptive brother already motionless on the floor, his face drowning in his own blood from a huge gash on the back of his head. It just scared and horrified her…almost twisting her mind…so much built up energy from the years of work, finally manifested, she ascended to a false super sayajin level…and freed herself, only to watch in horror, of her adoptive parents murdered. Instead of get vengeance…the child broke down…and ran away.
She was found in a ditch… by a warlord who never cared to give her his name. He took her in, and fed her one night. He knew full and well who she was…all he could do, was tell her the truth. This man, Batu, was one of Hokutomaru’s closest allies…and went to tell Serena, the lie that Hokutomaru initially put out when he tried to have Selene and Jocasta killed. He told her how Selene got rid of her because of her inferiority and how she put the mark of a royal furai bastard child just so it would be much harder for her to get the throne. Serena was in shock…and in a state of self loathing and hatred. She knew her real name… she knew all she had was at her fingertips. All she could do was take a deep breath, and ask Batu, “What…can I do…to get…revenge…”

The twisted 7 year old began a slow…and painful journey of self discovery, and trying to become much much stronger that what her younger sister could ever be. Her powers, and talents growing with each passing day. She traveled from planet to planet… learning the most she could from a master, beating them in battle, killing them, and moving on. At the age of 17, she was known as the “Conqueror in a Peacetime Age” for her ruthlessness, despite other planets pleas for her to show mercy. She had amassed an army, she had not yet reached a level of power she wish she could have. She felt she wasn’t ready for battling her sister. Serena, wanted more.
In a coup that will forever change Ryuujin history, after 2 years of training herself, turning into more of a weapon of mass destruction than a warrior, led 5,000 people into war against the Ryuujin, and she single handedly, forced her cousin to give up the crown, after tearing through the royal city like a bat out of hell, no remorse for what was near, or what was dear. In her eyes she had nothing but her rage. She began plotting, thinking, acting, and used the Ryuujin people to her advantage. She went back into the shadows, pulling strings from the darkness and continued to train herself, and plan out another conquest.
Serena’s plans were rushed a bit…when a year ago, her younger sister set foot on the planet. Taking the throne that the ryuujin people thought Serena abandoned. They didn’t respect Jocasta as much as the furai did, and didn’t like her much. Jo had accidentally hired a confidant of Serena’s to act as a decision maker while she was off planet. Jocasta tended to think more of her mothers people, than her fathers people. Serena saw this as the ultimate plot…she reemerged in a television statement in Ryuujin homes, and sent out a message to them. She made them realize that Jocasta thought little of them…and that this so called bastard child would not only make a better leader, but she would give them something they wanted in a long time. Another shot at the furai after the whole incident involving Selene was never cleared up completely.
Serena knew the X factor in her plan, would be how fast her sister acted, and how soon she would come. Serena didn’t know…that Selene still lived…partially as a specter…but alive nonetheless. Serena prepares for what could be her final shot at vengeance, 17 years had culminated into this one moment. And she would bring whatever she had…to make sure this prodigal child…the one her mother favored…the hatred she had for both mother…and child.
