Dewclaw University's grounds cover enough area, and is home to so many people, that it is a suburb in itself, with its own tram stop. For the benefit of visitors to this esteemed Chakonan establishment, I have provided a map to help find your way around.

Nice place. I've looked at all the Dewclaw Uni pictures. Why didn't my uni look like this?
I assume that there are also things like dorms, shops etc.?
How big is this place? Big enough that there would be small (unmanned?) electrical buses on the Ring Road? Or can you walk?
Do they hire? All I need is time to pack - I'm sure I could teach...I dunno...computer science or something. Anything to get me to this paradise! (And then I could have "Big yabbies from the creek")

I looked them up after I started listening to Slim Dusty. According to him, they are the apparently the greatest thing you can put on the dinner table (http://www.mp3lyrics.org/s/slim-dusty/big-yabbies/). I haven't tried them (but I will if I ever go back Down Under), so for now I'll take his word for it
So, I take it that there are the Chakonan equivalent of yabbies in that creek?
...or maybe there were, but now they've been all but eaten by students who used them as a cheap but delicious food source?

Most of those in the resident halls have to pass through half the academic grounds to get to the Student Center? Well, unless they want to go out and around on the ring road, but that's not much more practical.
Although "mini student centers" are probably in each residence hall, so I doubt it's that much trouble.
Hm, what's off to the northwest (assuming a standard north/top orientation) that there's no road in that direction?
A visit to the businesses and off-campus housing facilities that are undoubtedly nearby (wanted or not) may be in order.

Heh heh I didn't put those in the map. Oddly enough, on some of the big schools (like my alma mater), the student center and academic complex are very far from the resident areas. (This is likely due to the noise that could occur at certain types of dormitory).
I'm sure there's shuttles and such, though I suppose a lot of universities avoid having people drive through the centre of campus, where possible. I didn't map the footpaths in this image though, unfortunately. I figure there's either non-university buildings or greenspace in the areas to the northwest. There can be shops and businesses in the Commons and the area near the train station.

The main Student Center is fairly central to all the academic buildings. Other facilities are available in the residences.
There's one of the green belts to the north and west. Greenwood belt, which the next suburb is named after, as seen on the tram stop picture.
Dewclaw is a suburb unto itself, and that means that off the map there are shops and services catering to the university students and faculty, just like any other small town.

Don't forget the dorm (and Student Union) commissaries - their "plastic on shingles" might not be popular, but they would have them.
On the other paw, there's many a restaurant chain that got their start meeting the needs of college students. And plenty of hole-in-the-wall, singular, or just Mom-and-Pop places, too. (Hm, a buffet-type place run by a chakat couple. And frequently overrun with their various friends, relatives, offspring, adoptees, and grandcubs.)

Medical school at Dewclaw (at this campus or the branch universities) would be fine. You probably want to check out the Guide to Chakona to look at how the setting works too!
