Absolutely. There's just one or two in the chat room that keep bringing up politics. I put them on ignore when they log in.

Furries and the lack of political drama? That will never happen.

Like you, I try to avoid any politics on FA. It's such an explosive topic and I've unwatched severals friends over the past couple of months because of it.

It's why I avoid it here. I'm here for the artwork, music, and friendship. I always put a friendship above politics.

But there are those who have the attitude, "Love me, love my dog". And if you don't love their dog, you become their enemy.

It becomes especially hard, when I hear the distortions that are typical of political discussion.

Exactly. Even though I treat FA as my social networking (I don't have Facebook, Twitter, etc), I draw the line at several topics I'm not willing to discuss. And, it's important to keep politics in perspective -  tiptoe and I spend a lot of time together in and out of the gym and the recent Walker recall election here in Wisconsin nearly ended our friendship. Politics in the US is incredibly toxic at this time - the most I can recall since I've been alive.
