Shida and Kaa
hehe, dunno why i drew this but my GF loved it.
it's her fursona Shida the umbreon encountering Kaa the snake from the jungle book.
I think i drew kaa pretty well here considering how he normally looks when i draw him xD
Shida looks positively adorable...
i loved the sketch of this so i had to colour it. i completely for got that for fun i was gonna put shading on the sketch like i used to... oh well.
I struggled a bit with the background so i just used a photo instead XD
i wanted to go for a more night-time feel but this is good too. i then changed the tree's colour to match the ones in the background.
the only thing i dissliked about the pic is that you now can't see the effects very well, like the squeezy motion marks around the coils or the imaginary bubbles popping above shida's head or the sound effect word "*squeeze*"
i tried to make them as visible as i can by filling in the bubbles a faded white and by puttign a white glow around the word. hope it all still fits well enough.
i like doing the whole drawing-on-photograph style.
