For those who might be wondering, no, this is not the fourth of my main characters. That is still to come!

Instead, I'd like to make a detour and introduce a side character of mine. His name's Kohola Mano (Ko for short), the whale shark chef. This big guy (I've not pinned down his height yet, but somewhere between 9 and 10 feet) is a quiet sort, preferring to spend his time making food for others to enjoy, or relaxing with close friends. Cooking is his passion, and you're often more likely to see him with an apron on than without. Here he's making a sushi roll for patrons of his restaurant, very intent on making it just right.

As far as I know, whale sharks are an extreme rarity around here, anthro ones even less so, which is a pity. They're such cool animals to watch. They're the biggest sharks alive today, yet harmless to humans. I had an idea for this character a while back, and decided to see if stagor could bring him to life. The answer was yes, yes he could. I absolutely fell in love with this picture, it captured him perfectly. I'm truly, truly happy with this pic. Thank you again, stag.
