the other day we had a really bad thunder and lighting storm, and afterwards i found this tree...
if you look close you can see the bark is stripped off in a spiral all the way to the top of the tree as a result of a lightening strike...

actually no i never looked fopr that.... but the mark on the tree stops 4 feet from the ground... the tree was used as a post for the fence, and it stops right at the wire.. so that probably distributed it to tghe ground pretty evenly..
it is impresive to see the power of nature... while its beautiful... we must also very much respect it..
