Archery was a feared form of attack until the catapult was reivented. Humans and Furs alike with a bow were considered to be the toughest of all warriors. Rangers evertually came about as mounted warriors that could kill at a massive distance. Rangers were also suppose to be survivors or heros after battles. Elaine was just a huntress. She used her bow as a tool and nothing more. Still many people feared and respected this lady just for her weapon.
