Well, it's amazing since I actually KNOW people on this island who are still alive who have told me about their uncle/father/etc who was executed/beheaded at the base of the hill on top of where my apartment complex is. It really gives me a new perspective on things which you don't get growing up with the history channel. o.o
If it were the right dimensions I could see this sort of thing ending up as the cover of Time Magazine or something, if they did an issue focusing on the pacific war or some of the specific island campaigns. Great quality, nice balance to the picture, vivid colors, great lighting.

I am of really mixed feelings when it comes to HDR's. Most of the time I feel like they really overwrought. I try to use them to get some of the depth and color that I'm not able to capture in a single photograph. I have tons and tons of pictures of cool wrecks of armour and aircraft that I've tracked down in the Pacific but most people just kind of find it boring. X D
