I think I am much better at the G1 style than G4, wouldn't you say?
I got a few comments that my G4's aren't all that appealing, but hopefully my G1's are better. xD

I didn't mean that I would make it more accurate to the show, though, I meant that I would tweak it a bit, since I can't draw in the show's style well.
In other words, I will fix the parts I am apparently drawing strangely by trying to think of them in my way of doing things, not trying to immitate someone else's style. I think my biggest problem with the G4's is that I just can't draw that style well. x3

I think the problem is that I tried too hard to draw the ponies the way they look in flash, and that's just not how I draw, I draw by imagining an object in 3D, and flash seems very flat (especially the MLP show). SO I think I might do better with the G4's if I try to draw them differently from how they...look...if that makes any sense. x3

The people who commented that they did not like the way I drew my G4's gave me some good tips that I will remember for when I draw them in the future -- I plan to work on my style with that generation, because it still feels odd for me to draw. I will find a nice balance between my style and the G4 style, though. I hope, anyway. :D

That's the best thing to do, to be honest. I mean, personally, from what I've gotten from my watchers over dA, no one REALLY cares for my MLP style, so I'm also working on my own (That sounded a lot more "omg i suk" than I meant it to be LOL) style of it also~ But back to the real point, and enough about me (because I feel like I'm sounding like a snooty person XD), from my perspective people are saying the MLP style is easy to draw, but to almost all bronies/fans notice the small differences in the style before they even notice it in the design, so it's much harder to get the "just right" look.
To be honest, once you find a style you personally enjoy drawing for G4 and that you like, I say stick with that, because soon enough, people will begin to sorta associate specific quirks of your style with you. That sounded much better in my head LOL

It'll take a while for people to, well, "accept" and associate your G4 style with you, and it won't seem so weird to them (and in turn, they'll begin to not notice the differences so much, or just not compare it to the show G4 style as much)

Haha, no, you don't sound snooty, and you make perfect sense. And that's sort of what I was saying -- I'm going to try to incorporate more of my techniques into the G4 style, instead of trying to recreate the style perfectly. Maybe then, they will look a little less "creepy" to some (that's what some people were saying, about the eyes mostly.)
Now, This is the kind of pony art I would LOVE to see more often. Nothing agenst the G4's, but my love is the G1's....and this sundance is, no joke, probably the best piece of art of her I've actually ever seen. You made her look so prettyful
