Our #1 Assistant in training seems to have had himself a little accident. He was asked to fetch a quill and ink to begin a lesson in writing when, suddenly, he found himself losing hold of the ink and, well, things just got messy.
Twilight was to come by and work with Spike on this particular day. Now he's upset as he feels he won't be loved for having made such a big mess. This pic evolved lots as I drew it. Originally, he was going to be kind of looking all sneaky as he tugged up at his diaper all nervous-like as if he were trying to slink away. Then I thought about him being sad about being wet and knowing how Twilight wouldn't be all that thrilled about him having to change him. Ultimately, it became what you see here.
It's fun how one idea can become so many before it is done. The ideas not executed being all saved for later works makes it so you never run out of good ideas to play with. :)

Spike is a cutie and I do love to draw him a lot. There's just something about that big, purple face, cute green scales, and adorably large, green eyes that just make you want to pick him up and never let him go. I know Spike isn't much for the mushy stuff, but oh how he is just a hard working, super sweetheart with a heart of gold.
