a nice fun one to get is tech 2, then brimstone, as your lazor will continue to fire as you charge for brimstone after that all you need is moms contact/familiar's/helth up or tough love, (damage multiplier.)
the worst combo ive seen however is the my reflection with fetus in a jar shots return to you, and shots are bombs D:
