not to mention all the holidays before and after easter that we have here XP
here in germany it depends on the stae you live in what holidays you have. where i live there are 11, only three of them arent christian holidays... there are:
new year,
good friday (the day jesus supposedly died on the cross),
easter monday,
the 1st of may (international workers day),
the feast of ascension (the day jesus supposedly went to heaven),
pentecost monday(the day the holy spirit was supposedly sent out),
Corpus Christi, another day for jesus,
union day (the day east and west germany were united),
all saits (a day to remember all saints),
1st day of christmas,
2nd day of christmas.
this list does not include holidays that fall on saturdays and sundays... then we also would have pentecost sunday and easter sunday.

WELL...christmas is actually a ton of celebrations and traditions that eventually had Christ's name slapped on them, so it's only been a christian holiday for 2,000 years or so.
I love the end of the year celebration! Lots of people celebrate the winter solstice around that time (this year I think it's december 20th? or 21st?), so that's not really religious.
What I was getting at is that I really love celebrations, but I don't like religion, which is a bummer because there are a lot of religious celebrations, haha!

Yeah, like I said in some comment somewhere above, I like celebrations of the solstice and stuff. Like, celebrating the new year and/or the new seasons sounds like a really fun thing for me. I GUESS I JUST LIKE NATURE THO.
The past two years Easter has been more about getting drunk and less about candy, egg paints, egg hunts, and Jesus oops

I am such a consumer whore. I really don't celebrate the religious intentions behind any holiday but Easter is one of my favorite holidays. idk... the bunnies and the pastel colors and the fake grass and the easter baskets and the colored eggs and fdgjfsdgdhdsgh IT JUST MAKES MY HEART HAPPY. Also. Reese's Eggs.
