This is something I did with my muse character. Creature. For the description though I'll just have to be lazy and copy/paste my Deviantart description. What creature is though basically. She is a imp like creature. About the size of your hand. Who is created from imagination. She was inspired by music from the band Creature Feature ( Where her name comes from ) And the now sadly retired Dr Steel. I'll submit the other steps I took just to show what I did.
Ugh more phone pictures I'm very sorry. Still no scanner and I can't stop doodling.
"But this looks so unfinished! Why is this here?" You might ask. That's intentional. I thought it would be cool to show my viewers how I draw Creature. Showing her "skeleton" lines. Which is why her pose is very bland.
Yes her legs are a pain in the butt sometimes. I forget the proper word for that type of leg skeletal structure. I've seen people use it for Fur suit costumes. So I know it has a word. I just can't recall what it is. *edit* Digigrade that's what it's called
The only guildline I don't plan out is her tail. I tend to add that tail in last once the rest of the drawing is fleshed out. I love yet hate her design. Skinny upper body. Oddly thick raptor legs.
I didn't fill in her hair or horns, not even her face just because I wanted to let the viewers be able to actually see them since both her hair and horns are black. I would've drawn her standing completely up but she takes up the whole page if I do that. So I just decided on her usual sitting pose. She mostly hovers anyway it doesn't matter.

More advice I forgot to mention for you. It always helps to try and plan your drawings ahead of time. Downside is now my drawings tend to look stiff. I need to work on that myself. Still it helps for newbies. ( And no I'm not saying newbie as an insult. We've all been there. )
