Seriously, that's the most expensive roll I've ever heard of. I'm sure there are spendier ones out there, but that one takes the mochi cake.
I know a local sushi bar (now closed, sadly) that offered a $16 roll with salmon, truffle oil, sliced truffles, sturgeon caviar & gold leaf.
