Love her name! I want a rat (or a Parakeet, a GREEN one!) so bad, but having a permanent indoor cat means I can't. =C

My cat doesn't bother the rats too much, but I don't live with her either. It was only for visits.

I know

has 4-5 cats and a bunch of rats and has never had an incident.

Really? I want one so bad. I have this thing for Albino rats. I love their little red eyes. I'm just so afraid I'd get one and something would happen... =C

Well, the rats will definitely go after a cat if they stick their paws in there or something. If you get a cage that sits on the floor, they can't really knock it over. Utilize separate rooms-- keep the cats out during playtime. :) I don't think you'd have anything happen.

Haha, well, you should get a pair if you get any. They need a friend. x3

But yeah, no doubt! I'm always here! Lots of people have cats and rats from Facebook groups I'm part of. Some even let them play together (a seriously bad idea imo) so you wouldn't be alone. XD

I usually do get two of stuff so that would work out. =3 I got two Russian Torties when I went to get one because I hated to separate them, I got 3 Oscars, a ton of chickens, etc. all for the same reason, LoL. Just about the only thing that is alone is my Beardie, but that is because he's shown me that he doesn't want a friend. =P

Rats just don't do well alone IMO. They need someone to groom and play with, especially when they're young. So that's good. :3c
