If you've read my journal, you'd know that my dog is currently suffering from a sprained ankle. He's already been to the vet and got pain meds.... which... did make him feel better. Being the silly puppy he is, though, the moment he feels a little better he starts running around like normal, hurting his ankle more. Due to this has been getting steadily worse. We finally decided today to bandage his leg, no matter how much he doesn't like it. It worked well enough that his ankle is held still as he runs around, reducing his pain greatly.... but after I bandaged him, he immediately started limping on another leg... seems he compensated so much with his other legs that he strained his muscles. So now I have to sit down to massage his muscles every few hours to help them heal.
This FINALLY seems to be working. Still, we have to call the vet and get him a refill of his pain meds tomorrow. He should be improved in a few days, if not, its straight back to the vets.
