Why are they called Harvestmen? Any idea?

Personally I have very little idea, though I've looked on some gardening websites that say it's because of their being seen in late summer and fall at harvest time.

They're a type of arachnid, though not a spider. It would have to have two body parts for it to be a spider. These are a bit more like, stomachs with eyes and legs.
