Hi hi, responding to your request for feedback. XD So as far as the art goes, this is commission, so I can't give a fair crit on that. But as far as character design goes, yeah! You're on the right track! He's simple, the character stands as it own thing without needing to over-embelish, infact, he might even be a but tooo plain, but that's not a bad thing! As far as character goes, Here, atleast, he's in a seductive pose and wearing a BDSM collar. So I fear you do fall into one of the bad traps here, and that is that this character, atleast at first glance, is a sexual icon. Is he more? Does he have a background and an intended point? Does he have a world and a setting? What I would say to you is, expand. Don't just make a furry avatar and say "This is my furry self" and then just leave it at that. Build him into a consumate character, give him a setting or place him in one that exists, make him into somebody. If you already have, then good XD I'm only able to go of what you sent though so that is my advice.

The trap furs fall into is making a "fursona" i.e. a marry sue avatar that is supposed to be "themselves" Where making an avatar is not bad, alot of people make that just so they can participate in the fandom but the character will be empty and vapid. This drains the life out of this fandom. This fandom only works when people are putting ideas into it and excersising their creativity.

So my final advice is, be creative, don't be the "I have a furry self that can be used for anything" guy. Give him a character, a soul, yeah XD You are on the right track! Just expand XD

Ah, I do have a soul for him, a personality and a list of abilities that are seen more in my writings than any images ever could. But yes, this was actually a gift to me from a friend, and she added quite a few tbings included the pose. XD he's not meant to be overly sexual at all, though he certainly participates.

But I tend to keep his backstory private since I know most furries dont seem to care. And it never really comes up in the art I have drawn. He's an ice elemental capable of controlling ambient moisture and temperatures as well as thermoregulation of his body temperature to sub-zero levels? Cool, uh... do you want him standing or sotting in thid image?

So... I had feared I would not define him enough, but at the same time I hadnt wanted to over embellish... thank you for the feedback though!
