Not sure why I never uploaded this-- I like it haha.
Anyway, this is a large monitor. I can't remember the species, but he was enormous. He was on display at the local pet shop that specializes in reptiles with a lot of information as to WHY this species makes poor pets for most people.

In California my rottweiler I took from a rescue out of Arizona that normally took in dogs from fighting rings ran into a reptile like this, also freakin huge. She killed it I'm happy to say, But it used its tail and claws. Was a wreck. Cut her chest up pretty bad. And also had a nasty and expensive infection.
These are not good pets. Pretty as hell tho. Sadly as there, alot of folks just dump these critters as soon as they get big.

I believe that is a Nile monitor they have a really nasty bite full of bacteria just like there big cousin the komodo dragon. They make good pets for some one who has the space time and patience. They can get pretty agro. I love the chillness of the pic, it's sayin' "Eay wassup mate check me out" :3
