Yus :3 I've been tweaking her for a few weeks now, adding bits that hopefully get her close to looking as adorable as Lily ;o; It's tons of fun actually... I have enjoyed every minute of it... and it is a huuuuge time sink though :| There are quite a few freebies out there to start you off which is great. To start with I only bought a basic furry avatar shape then replaced the tail and ears and feet myself with other parts. It looks daunting at first but after some expert guidance from my friend

she definitely looks cute so far. :D I hope you'll share the completed version, once you're done tweaking her. ^^ I must admit this game(?) sounds tempting... but with my addictive personality, I'm scared to try. x___x; and hooray for awesome friends who can help! it definitely sounds complicated... @___@
It is only the chinchilla head with the cheek fluff and chinchilla teeth removed actually. The rest is different parts... The body is the defaunt body bit with the Serious Tigress shape applied, plus Chimera Husky Tail and I think the ears are the Felis head. Oddly enough just before starting SL I got a note from Uchis girlfriend which made me check out Uchis profile and I recognised his Kani avatar from ages ago. It was odd how that happened.. I can see why his chinchilla head is so popular... It is adorable :)
I didn't make all the parts, but I textured and modified them all to my liking. Her tail is a husky tail I bought for very little, and then resized and re-angled etc to make it more of a fluffy cat tail... then it was just a case of texturing every segment by hand. The feet/calves are seperate and I had to texture those and resize the paw pads (which you can't see) and recolour them... and then I had to find some decent hair and resize/move that around until it looked right on her massive head (lol). I am actually really happy with how I've done being a total newblet.... If you ever do get into SL I can make you Lune textures now that I understand how they work :D
It's all easy. No program used aside the Second Life game... the only other program I used was photoshop for making the textures. You basically buy the avatar shapes in the game and tweak it all via Second Life, you can build 3d things in there too. It just takes a little getting used to. I could try and stream it sometime to explain a bit better.

but this is so cute and it works so well for your character. i can't wait to see the face when it's done. uchi's avs can be a massive pain to retexture sometimes though just because he uses the same texture for EVERYTHING >.<

Damn right about the black hole! This is a bit if a Frankenstein as I'm sure a lot of finicky people's avis are. It's just the chinchilla head with cheeks and teeth removed and then the Serious Tigress shape applied on the default female body, plus the tail is a Husky tail from C h I m e r a as well as I think the Felis head ears. I started with some canine ears but I liked the fluff in these ones! :) seriously good fun though.

Oh yeah I meant the "base" avatar which is the chinchilla. But I know all the other parts well e.e I've been on sl since 2005 x.x I'll load up sl now and get a screen shot of my most current mod I'm wearing. I have over 150 avatars x.x Like I said...BLACK HOLE. If you ever wanna hang out or chat in sl my name is Atarashi Silvercloud. I can always help you out if you need it and your friend isn't around or something :3.
As for texturing Uchi heads, I have the chinchilla head texture for the white which is the same av you have. I can note you that texture once I stop typing and then find it X3 Basically with those you CAN tell which part of the texture goes on which piece at least. If you look at the head and the texture at the same time. I'll explain it in the note anyway though, just in case. It's easiest to mod if you texture over his base texture already. I know there are people out there who split it up instead and make completely new textures but that's a LOT more difficult x.x.

I don't know if it's "bold" or "boredom" haha. I have some plainer mods but I just get so ADD when it comes to avatars. I constantly change them. I noticed the more colorful, strange, out-there avs usually last longer for me XD. But thank you :3c And yes I do love big fluffy tails!

Well, I am toying with the idea. I JUST bought the guitar which has animations for playing it and some soundbytes... but I am looking at uploading my own clips and scripting them myself... just need to learn how to do it. of course for now I could just randomly stream audio. Technically she doesnt play the guitar but I am not too bothered about letting her have a guitar.
I am just looking at your SL avatars in your submissions now... they're so pretty! :D Is the Tail for Amethysia a Luskwood one or something else ? It's so fluffy D:!

Ive had it easy thanks to photoshop's 3D layers. I've just painted on the 3D model using PS :3 I do understand the grid thing though. It seems some textures are different like the Serious Tigress... the tail seems to be thrown in with the top texture or something. I havent looked at it properly yet though :3
It was only a lot of work because of the texturing... it can be hard to line things up when you're working on a flat texture image which then wraps around a 3D model. Aside that it didnt take much on my part... just learning mainly. There have been a lot of hours gone in to this though.
