Fair Contest Entry #2: John Nelson Darby sketch portrait
Furtard: What's this? A filthy human in my fursite?! http://i.qkme.me/35384e.jpg
Me: http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/.....d-facepalm.jpg Oh yeah? This man is responsible of culturally preventing Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church from becoming President nearly two hundred years in advance.
In all seriousness, this is a sketch art of John Nelson Darby using this picture as a reference: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZwSQmW91k...../s1600/JND.jpg
John Darby was an Anglo-Irish evangelist who once was a curate of the Church of Ireland but left in protest when William Magee, Archbishop of Dublin, required that all off Darby's converts must swear loyalty to George IV as the true king of Ireland. It was on the October of 1827 was when John Darby got into a horse accident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfyCaokdsnw
From that point on, John Darby soon created modern dispensationalism: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dispensationalism that helped to slowly lead a massive chunk of Christianity away from the horrifically antisemitic "Replacement Theology."
Replacement Theology was originally intended to establish that Christianity and Judaism are two separate religions until the theology became corrupted by hateful priests. The theology is then used to establish that God intentionally replaced the Jews with the Gentiles because they've refused to accept Jesus Christ as their savior. Replacement Theology was used for so long throughout the history of Western Civiliation during the Common Era, it gave birth to many vicious anti-Jewish ideas such as the claim that it was the Jews who killed Jesus Christ (despite that it was well established by Jesus in the Bible that he was going to die anyways, regardless of who would kill him) and the blood libel that accuses Jews for drinking the blood of Christian children (even though by Jewish food law, blood consumption isn't kosher.)
So here's to John Nelson Darby for creating a long term kick to the nuts against Christian antisemitism.
