This is my first transformation-based story and I've decided to use the Land of Oz as its basis, since transformations happen all too often in L. Frank Baum's fairyland.

A couple of things to bear in mind...

.This is based on the books, and not the 1939 movie, and Dorothy is between 9 and 10 years old here

.It's a direct sequel to the first book, and leads into the second book, The Marvelous Land of Oz

.It's a finished work, which I need illustrations for, and am willing to commission someone to do them

.This first chapter is an intentional tease. No transformations happen, though...the good stuff is in the very next chapter. There are little hints, however, as to what is to happen to Dorothy

.I am currently writing a sequel
