This was commissioned at FC some years ago for a placemat that was later I'm told, laminated. The client wanted cartoon weasels battling in rigatoni.

neat picture! Btw a while ago I picked up a copy of Critter Commandos and noticed that you had did most of the artwork for that book (if I remember, need to dig it up and look for it again)

Yeah, never got paid for it either. Because of that game and another game is why I rejected Ironclaw then they first approached me. I just assumed they wanted free art as well.

hey it happens man. I know a guy who did the art for a non fandom combat game, promised allsorts of things for his work and they apparently swindled all the artists out of the comission work. How much were you looking at making for that job?

And what other game did you do art for?

I did some illos for some war game company...I forget who.

I can't recall now exactly how much I was to be paid for Critter Commandos....but it was over 12-15 years ago. I was promised for years I was gonna get paid. I basically wrote it off.

ouch, well I found my copy at a local used book store about 5 years ago give or take. I can send you a bit of extra cash for it (and a possible commision if possible) but will have to wait on that till next friday

Happened to me all the time, too. I would be commissioned, promised this that or something. I deliver, I get the shaft. Old story. I pretty much have given up being PAID for my art. People just want it for free, make a profit from it, and to hell with you. I will draw for fun until some kind of miracle happens.

For this reason, if I ever get hired to create something, I'm not gonna start on it 'til I have at least half the money; and I'm not handing over the final product until I get the other half.
