Midwestria is name of Chicagoland's premiere My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic convention and is coming soon. On September 14 to 16th, 2012 at the Pheasant Run Resort in St Charles, IL. The events' list, panelists and guests are growing every day for the con. But we are having one problem; our mascot pony doesn't have a name. She's the blue pegasi with a white mane and tail. Some names have been suggestion, but a campaign was launched last week to give her the proper name she deserves.

Allow me to submit for your reading pleasure; Windy Blues! Chicago is known as the Windy city and is home to the electric Blues style of music. What better way is there to capture the Spirit of Chicagoland then to name her two of the most popular aspects of the region.

Every week on Windysday (Wednesday) up to the start of the Con, the group known as "Ponies for Windy campaign 2012" will publish a poster featuring our little blue filly and what her name should be. But she will need your vote to make it official.

How do you vote? You have to attend the con. Each registered attendee will get a change to cast a ballot for their favorite mascot name. So come to Midwestria, cast your vote and join Windy Blues and her friends as we celebrate our victory with official naming.
