To tell you the truth, I recently discovered that there are colonies of ground squirrels that live in the park near the Office where I pick up my paycheck. I've fed the little fellows shelled peanuts and bare peanuts, and they seem to enjoy chasing after the treats. I even had a larger, elder squirrel come up to me and "Beg" for more with cheek pouches bulging, and I puffed out my cheeks and slapped them with my hands. The creature seemed to get the message in my saying, "You've had enough." and returned to the burrow. Anyway, I like this image as it reminds me of a picture I've seen of high steel workers taking a break during the construction of the Empire State building during the 1930s. Looking at the meals on hand... Er paw, was delightful as I see one fellow is eating "local" with a Sycamore seed.

Squirrels are fun and fascinating to watch their minds at work. Glad you recognized the inspiration for this piece. You are correct, it is based very closely on the "Lunch Atop a Skyscraper" photo.
