I can't tell you how much I loved being in Yosemite National Park for a week. The scenery there was absolutely astounding... especially in contrast to the endless flat farmland I'm surrounded by in my day-to-day life. There was no shortage of photography opportunities, which made me quite happy, to say the least.
This is the view from, I believe, Route 120, coming in toward the valley from the west. I took this on the way back from Tuolumne Meadows... it's a bit of a different perspective than that at Tunnel View, as seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8398484/ In a way I almost like this vantage point better... it makes everything more snug, like a compact version of Tunnel View, giving you two of the park's most famous landmarks right next to one another. At left is El Capitan, and at center is Half Dome.

Quite a delightful transition to make, methinks. ^^ I'm really hoping to make it back out there again, someday. Not just to Yosemite, but to California in general. There's so much to see out there. Not to mention all the stuff in between. I've got years of catching up and photography ahead of me! *Wags absently*
