I can't tell you how much I loved being in Yosemite National Park for a week. The scenery there was absolutely astounding... especially in contrast to the endless flat farmland I'm surrounded by in my day-to-day life. There was no shortage of photography opportunities, which made me quite happy, to say the least.
This is a pretty standard, classic (probably far-too-over-shot) scene... taken from what is known as Tunnel View. Despite it being an all to common perspective, I thought I'd share this photo just for the few of you who may never have seen it. The large formation left of center is El Capitan, at distant center is Half Dome, and the waterfall to the right is Bridalveil Fall.

Yep! I made sure to go when there would be plenty of water... and I snuck in and did much of my visit before most other people started showing up. I left on Tuesday, June 5th... and that Monday there was easily twice as many people as there had been a week before. So I'm glad to have gone when I did, and escaped before it became too much of a madhouse.
