Susan's got a new onesie!
I was very lucky to get
toddlergirl to do the linework of this for me. It was Friday, June 1, 2012. I logged into FA, and did something I rarely do: check the journals in my FA messages. I saw there that Toddlergirl was streaming on Livestream (I didn't even know she streamed!) So I watched it for about an hour, enjoying every moment of it, before realizing that she was making free sketches for anyone that asked politely. So I tried my luck, and got Susan on the list. There were 10 people before me, but it came out beautifully! I mean, look at her! She's so adorably cute!
Coloring was a little harder than I thought. Although I could take the colors from her newborn picture, and her eye color from her mother, I really wanted to make her clothes different. So I chose blue, but the problem is, it wouldn't be cannon to my story for it to be colored using chemical dyes. So I had to research how it was done before chemical dyes. The answer was a bit unexpected: it came from Woad leaves. So... yeah... that's why the blue is kind of dull despite it being new.
For the shading, I chose cell shading because I thought it fit the style better. I set the light source to the viewers right (which means it's in front of her)
Original linework is at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8102587/
Thanks again, Toddlergirl! You're awesome.
