This was about as close as I could get to these two before they noticed me. That's part of the reason I haven't cropped the image, to get an idea for how far away I was.

The deer around here are… acclimatized is the best word, I guess. They're kind of acclimatized to people, so they don't spook as early. Don't get me wrong, they moved before this picture, and I stopped and waited for a minute before they went back to munching.

the ones where i live normally jump away with fear and go bounding off in to the thick underbrush
