Everybody's art has their own appeal and style really, a sign of a good artist is trying to constantly improve.
When one gets fully complacent, they risk getting sloppy. So it's good that you want to get better, but don't be so harsh on yourself, and try not focus on outdoing others, just do what you do and enjoy best :3
