Pennsylvania, I'm not sure exactly why they're not legal around here anymore... Think maybe people were inbreeding them or something. :/

Ohh, never mind. Just looked it up, apparently in the 90's you could own them but they couldn't be bred here and someone broke the law. Now they won't even allow transporting through the state...

Ahh, yeah, PA is one of the illegal states. For no apparent reason. CA and AZ are illegal because of a not-well-founded but at least understandable concern that escaped/released hedgehogs could form a wild/alien population and do damage to local ecosystems - because there it's warm enough - whereas in PA the illegality doesn't make much sense. It could still be changed, though - Vermont recently went from illegal to legal.
