We did get a thunderstorm, but it wasn't that bad. The atmosphere was changing from steamy hot yesterday to cooler temps today.

That's the underside of the anvil of a very active thunderstorm, these types of waves are usually caused by an incredibly strong jet stream in the upper atmosphere. I would have expected this cloud would have dumped a crapload of rain
